Description
Presentation of thePelimex PX Pilot-1 Electronic Breathalyzer
L'Pelimex PX Pilot-1 Electronic Breathalyzer is a compact alcohol screening device, offering fast, accurate and reliable measurements thanks to a electrochemical sensor and a breath controller highly selective, developed with technology from KAIST.
Technical specifications
- Display in mg/L of alcohol in exhaled air (0.00 to 0.50 mg/L, capped at 0.49 mg/L in accordance with the standard NF).
- Indicator "OL" or audible alert for a rate greater than or equal to the legal threshold of 0.25 mg/L.
- 10 second purge time between each test for stable measurements.
- Use ofdisposable tips for quick and hygienic measurement.
Effects and thresholds of alcohol
The legal threshold is set at 0.25 mg/L in exhaled air (equivalent to 0.5 g/L in the blood). Each glass consumed generally increases the level by 0.125 mg/L, with variations depending on gender, age, weight or health status. The effects of alcohol, noticeable from 0.15 mg/L, include visual field alteration, decreased alertness, and impaired coordination.
Applications
- Reliable screening to assess driving fitness.
- Use in professional or personal contexts to control theblood alcohol level.
- Help prevent risks associated with alcohol consumption.
