For use outside of mainland France, the scale must be factory calibrated by SECA according to the gravity (latitude, longitude, altitude) of the destination location. This calibration, free of charge, must be requested when ordering, specifying the city of use. Without this correction, the scale will have to be adjusted by a local notified body (Balancier, DIRECCTE) to comply with regulatory requirements. In the absence of a calibration request, SECA and Hexamed cannot be held responsible for non-conformities, and the costs of compliance will be borne by the user.
