L'Billeau cove is a medical instrument used in ENT to extract foreign bodies such as earwax plugs, THE epidermal scales or the hairs of the external auditory canal. It facilitates otoscopies allowing a precise examination of the ear canal and the tympanic membrane.
Applications
- Atraumatic extraction of earwax plugs formed by the secretions of the glands ceruminous and sebaceous.
- Withdrawal of scales or hairs blocking the ear canal, often with the help of a cotton holder soaked in oil or serum.
- Use with a otoscopea Clar's mirror or ear specula for an accurate diagnosis.
