Steranios 2% is a disinfectant solution based on glutaraldehyde designed for high-level disinfection of medical devices, endoscopic and thermosensitive, available in cans of 2L or 5L.

Composition

• Solution from glutaraldehyde at 2% (expressed as active matter at 100%), buffered at pH 6 with a surface effects catalyst.
• Steranios 2% NG and Steranios 2% ECS include two compounds that limit the evaporation of the glutaraldehyde.

Microbiological properties

• Bacteria (IN 1040, EN 13727, NF T 72-171, EN 14561): 5 minutes.
• Helicobacter pylori : 10 minutes.
• Mycobacteria (Mycobacterium tuberculosis, EN 14348, EN 14563): 5 to 10 minutes.
• Yeasts/Molds (IN 1275, EN 13624, EN 14562): 10 minutes.
• Virus (HIV-1, HBV, BVDV, EN 14476): 5 to 10 minutes.
• Spores (NF T 72-230, T 72-301 for C. difficult): 30 minutes to 1 hour.
• Urogenital mycoplasmas : 5 minutes.

Instructions for use

Pre-disinfect by cleaning with ANIOSYME DD1, HEXANIOS G+R or ANIOSYME PLA II, then rinse. For the endoscopes, swab and irrigate. Pour the solution Steranios 2%, cover the tub and let it sit for 10 minutes to 1 hour. Keep the bath for up to 7 days. Rinse withsterile water or filtered (0.2μm), dry with a sterile field and store under aseptic conditions. See the label for precautions.
